Unified WBLAHS principal position update

The district’s Building Our Future construction process continues, with White Bear Lake Area High School - North Campus transforming in phases into a unified high school that will serve grades 9-12 when it opens in the fall of 2024.

Don Bosch, who began in the district in 2009 when he was named principal at North Campus and moved into his current role as principal at South Campus in 2017, recently announced that he will be retiring after the 2023-24 school year. He had been named in 2020 to be the principal of the unified high school to begin in 2024.

“Thank you to Mr. Bosch for more than 13 years of service to the students, families and staff at both campuses of White Bear Lake Area High School. His efforts and focus on helping students lead their learning have positioned our students to be courageous, passionate learners and leaders” said Dr. Wayne Kazmierczak, Superintendent. “His calm and steady leadership have also served the District well, with his continued dedication to professional growth throughout his career making him a role model amongst his team and his peers.”

The unified high school principal employment search will begin in mid-January. We hope to complete the process and name the unified high school principal later this spring. Through this school year and next, Mr. Bosch will serve in his current role at South Campus and work alongside district administrators to ensure a smooth transition to the new principal leading the team as the two campuses come together in the fall of 2024 at the unified high school.
