The White Bear Lake Area Educational Foundation hosted a fundraising breakfast in the White Bear Lake Area High School Union area. After enjoying a breakfast together and hearing district staff members describe ways the Foundation’s support has impacted various district programs and classrooms, attendees enjoyed tours of the completed portions of the building. The tour focused on the renovated 600 wing of the building, the Career Pathways classrooms, the Learning Studios, the Union, and the athletics spaces including the Weight Room, the Auxiliary Gym and the Field House.
Attendees also enjoyed a peek into the Game Gym that is currently under construction. Additional Phase 2 work currently underway includes renovations of the remaining original classrooms, and renovation and expansion of the Learning Commons. A Fine Arts addition will add classroom space for band, choir and orchestra. A 845-capacity Performing Arts Center addition will complement the existing theater, which will remain and continue to accommodate 400 attendees.
The building, currently WBLAHS - North Campus, will open as White Bear Lake Area High School serving grades 9-12 in the fall of 2024.
