Fourth Grade Medieval Banquet

The fourth graders at Otter Lake Elementary participated in a Medieval Banquet after learning about the Middle Ages in their CKLA curriculum.  They feasted on chicken drumsticks, grapes, bread, cheese, juice, pudding.  A fabulous time was had by all!

Student Ambassadors Pack Bags at Every Meal

Otter Lake Student Ambassadors packed bags at Every Meal to donate to children in need.  They were able to help numerous children in Minnesota who are food insecure.  Thank you for your service, students!

Otter Lake Food Drive

Otter Lake Elementary students and staff collected 434 items for the WBL Area Food Shelf.  We were also able to contribute $160 in cash donations.  Thank you Otter Lake students, staff, and families for helping with this important cause!

November 2025 OLE Newsletter, Part 1

The November issue of the OLE Newsletter is now available.  The publication covers Otter Lake Elementary information, important dates, fun events, and PTA news.

WBLAHS Field House Walking Track Open

The WBLAHS Field House walking track is now open for the season! Community members can walk the indoor track (for free) from 6-9 p.m. each week Monday-Thursday.

"Cinderella" Fall Musical

Tickets are now available for the WBLAHS Fall Musical production of Rodgers & Hammerstein's Cinderella, which will be performed in the high school’s state-of-the-art Performing Arts Center Nov. 14-15 and 20-22.
 

FREE Senior Activity Pass

Senior community members (age 65+) who live in the District are invited to participate in the Senior Activities Pass program.

Emergency School Closing Notification Information

If winter weather is so severe that schools need to close, families will be alerted via phone, email and text to those with texting capabilities. The message will be posted on the district's website and social media accounts, and the information will also be available on local media outlets.

Quarter-Century of Finance Awards for White Bear Lake Area Schools

White Bear Lake Area Schools has once again earned top honors for financial reporting, marking the 25th consecutive year the district has received both the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting and the Association of School Business Officials (ASBO) Certificate of Excellence in Financial Reporting.

Middle school student expectations at home football games

In order to ensure a safe, enjoyable, and organized experience for all attendees, we are implementing new expectations for middle school student attendance at home football games. These changes are being made to reduce congestion and disruptive behavior near the bathrooms and concession stand area, and to help keep the focus on supporting our team.

Sept. 24 Central Middle School Community Open House

Students, families and community members are invited to check out the completed construction projects at a Central Middle School Community Open House event that will take place during Homecoming week – from 4:30-6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, September 24.

2025-26 School Board Student Representatives

At the September Regular School Board Meeting, the School Board welcomed the 2025-26 School Board Student Representatives: WBLAHS senior Thomas Reese and Alternate Student Representative WBLAHS junior Lillian Johnson.
